Every day I feel honored that my clients entrust me with their personal stories. They inspire me to learn and grow so that I may continue to be of service to people who are in need of hope.— Jessica Braun (Zingelman), MSW, LICSW
Individual and Family Counseling
Are you concerned about your child or teen? Is anxiety, depression, conflict or stress negatively affecting your life? Seeking help takes courage and strength. I can help relieve the pain by helping you develop healthy coping skills so you can enjoy life again.
I am Jessica Braun (Zingelman), a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than a dozen years of experience restoring hope to people who had little or none. I enjoy working with children and adolescents and their families, as well as with individual adults and couples. I believe it is imperative to build a relationship with my clients. This respectful connection is the basis of our work together, because counseling is a collaborative effort aimed at improving lives.
I will provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment to help promote change. When necessary, I will work collaboratively with your or your child’s school, family physicians and psychiatrists.

Restoring Hope, Improving Lives
I strongly believe in restoring hope to those who are currently experiencing little to none. I find it enormously satisfying to help people develop the skills they need to enjoy a brighter future. I take pride in my ability to work successfully with clients of all types, including those who are initially resistant to the idea of counseling.
I graduated with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Minnesota in 2001. I began my career as an in-home family therapist working with children who were in adoptive or foster care settings. I conducted supervised visitations and parent-child attachment assessments, and I provided parent-child behavioral training. By visiting clients in their homes, where they were the most vulnerable, I quickly developed a respectful and non-judgmental attitude toward clients and an ability to connect with and help people of all backgrounds.
A Practical Approach
After five years in this field, I moved to a clinic setting as a psychotherapist working with a variety of people from children (6 yrs. +), adolescents and individual adults. I coordinated and facilitated adolescent, young adult and adult DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) groups. My focus is on using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT, and a strengths-based approach. These are practical, goal-oriented approaches to addressing clients’ concerns.
